Professional clinical supervision & support

Services supporting professionals

CatholicCare offers a range of programs for teaching staff and welfare/counselling staff within schools and educational settings.

We provide professional development for teachers as well as clinical supervision services for school counsellors and welfare staff.

Professional Development for Teachers

Our professional development sessions for teachers and other school staff in both primary and secondary settings cover topics including:

  • classroom management
  • self-care
  • managing students with challenging behaviours
  • discipline
  • identifying student anxiety early
  • supporting students with emotional issues

Professional development sessions can be run both in groups and for individuals.

Benefits

Teachers leave our sessions better equipped to meet the day to day challenges of supporting children’s well-being.

Our approach is very much centred around identifying skills and resources with the school already as well as ensuring teachers are better connected with other supports and resources outside the school gates.

Eligibility

Professional development sessions can be delivered in any school across Melbourne, Geelong and Gippsland.

Call us to discuss how we can tailor a session to meet your needs.

Clinical Supervision for School Counsellors/Welfare Staff

Many schools and universities employ counsellors, welfare and wellbeing support staff.

Our team of experienced clinical supervisors can provide expert clinical supervision to support these specialised staff within school settings.

We offer both individual and group clinical supervision.

Benefits

Well-supported and appropriately supervised wellbeing staff are better able to function and manage within the school environment.

Staff benefit from a range of supports available – regular clinical supervision, one-off debriefing support, and/or periodic case consultation/clinical advice.

Eligibility

Clinical supervision is available to any school psychologist, school counsellor, welfare support and well-being staff.

Supervision can be delivered on-site at a school or at any of our local branches across Melbourne, Geelong and Gippsland.
