The Archdiocese of Melbourne and the Board
of CatholicCare Melbourne and Gippsland have announced the appointment of Ms
Netty Horton to the position of Chief Executive Officer of CatholicCare.
Ms Horton has an MA in Public Policy, is a
Churchill Fellowship recipient, a Graduate of AICD, and has had vast community
and not-for-profit experience. Her previous positions include: Territorial Social Programmes Director for
the Salvation Army, Southern Territory General Manager of Community Services at
St Vincent de Paul’s Aged Care & Community Services, and CEO of Council to
Ms Horton has served as Chair of the Ministerial
Advisory Committee on Homelessness, and as a member of the Prime Minister’s
Council on Homelessness. She is also currently a member of the Federal Aged
Care Sector Committee.

Ms Horton will formally take up her new
role in November.
