On 3 July, CatholicCare will throw open the doors to a new office in Geelong; one which sees the Geelong Family Relationship Centre, CatholicCare Archdiocese of Melbourne and Centacare Ballarat co-locating at 7-9 Ryan Place.
This office brings together under one roof, a range of services, including:
- Family relationship services
- Emergency Relief
- Family Dispute Resolution
- Parenting Orders Program
- Relationship courses
- Victims Assistance Program
‘Co-location offers many advantages for all stakeholders,’ said Nick Collins, CatholicCare Director of Operations.
‘Not only do we reduce operating costs and enable sharing of facilities such as training rooms and equipment, but it also opens up opportunities for service collaboration and knowledge sharing.’
‘We believe the new office will better meet the needs of families and individuals in the Geelong community. The benefits for service users include the convenience of multiple services in one location and streamlined referrals; not to mention the facilities here are light and modern.’
The Ryan Place office is a converted red brick warehouse; it has multiple consultation/meeting rooms, a large training room, and open plan work spaces.
‘The co-location arrangement will create a learning environment that we hope will lead to increased capacity to meet the needs of the Geelong community into the future,’ said Nick.
